What does “brushless” mean on a cleaning brush?
The term refers to components inside the motor, not the bristles touching the panels. A brushed DC motor switches current through internal carbon brushes and a commutator. A brushless DC motor uses electronic commutation instead. Both versions still need the correct cleaning head and compatible power equipment.

Choose around the work your team actually does
For regular cleaning work, ask how motor servicing would fit your schedule. Compare access to replacement parts, the time needed for a repair and who provides support at your delivery destination. For occasional work, compare both complete quotations against your expected use. Frequency alone is not enough to select a motor.
For a distributor order, put the motor version on the quotation, carton specification and spare-parts list. Confirm whether different versions use the same connectors and service parts. Clear configuration records make repeat orders easier.
Check power compatibility before comparing runtime
Ask the factory to list the rated input, selected power source, motor controls, cables and connectors. If a battery, charger or adapter is required, confirm which items are included. A motor described as brushless does not establish how long the supplied kit will run.
For a useful comparison, request the battery specification, cleaning load, operating conditions and test duration together. Compare complete packages. Do not interchange a motor, controller or battery solely because the plugs appear to fit; obtain compatibility confirmation for the exact components.
Ask for a demonstration that answers a buying question
Use a representative panel area and the proposed brush head, pole and water setup. Record setup time, cleaning time, repositioning and operator feedback. Ask for the equipment configuration shown in the video. A short unloaded spinning clip does not show how the kit handles a cleaning task.

Is brushless automatically waterproof?
Motor type does not specify the water-ingress protection of the complete kit. Ask for documented limits for the motor assembly, controller, connectors and power source, and follow the supplied operating instructions.
Does brushless mean no maintenance?
It removes commutator-brush servicing, not the care required for the complete cleaning tool. Ask for the maintenance schedule and replacement-part list for your quoted assembly.
Can I upgrade an existing brushed cleaning brush?
